There's highs and there's the lows

I just finished making home-made Pad Thai for the family and eating two huge bowls of cookies & cream ice cream mmm...
The guilt of not having posted an update has finally caught up to me. So the last couple weeks have pretty much been a blur. Except for Yesterday which I spent a very long 6hours in the waiting room in the Hospital with Adam to have his knee x-rayed because of a crash he had on Sunday at the Buckwallow Ontario Cup. Nothing is broken but he is still left immobile and now not able to start the World Cups this weekend and the next. So many hours, so much dedication and money poured into this sport... our lives revolve around cycling and to have a crash take you out of the two most important races of his entire season is truly heart breaking. I know there's always worse off and you have to stay positive but it's hard to not think of how unfair things are sometimes.
Kevin Jardine at Urban Athlete in Toronto so kindly spent over an hour on Adam late last night trying to help speed the recovery process. He has an MRI scheduled this Thursday to find out exactly what ligament and or tendons he has injured.
On a happier note, I finished a huge block of hard training the other day and now just laying low for the last few days leading into Mt. St. Anne World Cup.
Although it’s nice to take a few recovery days... I almost go crazy with having nothing to do. I guess I like to keep busy and get grumpy when I can’t think of something to do... okay so there’s a million things that need doing but nothing I feel like doing.
Charlotte Adam and I spent a couple hours this afternoon trying to catch the new kittens at the barn... three adorable fuzzy orange babies. :)
Friday morning we will all head to Quebec for our 6th or 7th time this year.
Thank you for checking in... :):)

On our 4:30 hour ride to the grand Niagra Falls
